MegaGroup, the parent company of Bosta UK, invests in the future
MegaGroup, suppliers of pipeline components for the wet leisure and other industries, has announced that it will establish a European Distribution Centre in Veghel, in the south of the Netherlands.
According to the parent company of Bosta UK, this step will enable significant growth of the company.
The Distribution Centre is due to be completed before the end of 2013 and once operational, customers in North-West Europe can be supplied directly with product within 24 hours.
With a planned daily pick line capacity in excess of 10,000, customers in the UK and Europe will be supplied even faster, even more reliably and with a much more extensive product range from this central stock and distribution centre.
MegaGroup and Bosta UK will continue investing in its sales and commercial teams based in Bury St. Edmunds, Warrington and Yeovil.
Established in 1943, MegaGroup has grown into a network of 24 outlets in 14 European countries, with the first Bosta UK outlet being establish in 1994. The Group has grown in recent years to over 400 employees and now has the critical mass to move up to the next level.
Commenting about the change, Anton van Daalwijk, CEO of the Group said: "In these economic difficult times we choose consciously to invest. Our customers have to fight for position day by day, and with this significant facility we will help them by supplying them faster, more reliably and with many more closely connected products."
The new Distribution Centre will contain a surface of 11,000 square metres with 18,000 pallet locations and 10 loading docks.
Supported by the substantial investments in the new building, the MegaGroup expects to continue growing strongly across Europe. "Those with a clear vision and strong entrepreneurship will thrive from these challenging times. We are absolutely convinced that this investment will enable us and our customers to thrive as we serve them faster and better," said Van Daalwijk.
