Cresta makes it a double with heat pump award
Cresta Leisure Ltd, the Dorchester based swimming pool contractor, has won another national prize to add to their achievement of Swimming Pool Contractor of the Year 2012. Following on from this initial success they also won Commercial Air Source Installation of the Year at the National Heat Pump Awards in Birmingham.
Tim Bareham, Managing Director, was delighted: "We install heat pumps for many of our existing and new swimming pool customers. They work very well in this application and can reduce energy costs considerably. We have found that renewable energy is only useful if it delivers major savings, without costing the earth to install."
He went on to say: "Leisure centres in holiday parks nation-wide are a major part of our business and this award was for a new indoor pool complex in Burnham on Sea, where we were able to re-use warm air to heat the pool in an entirely new way. We now have a splendid engraved trophy to demonstrate our green credentials."
Cresta Leisure continues to thrive in a difficult trading environment because they are able to innovate, both in building beautiful swimming pools and in using the latest energy-saving technology.
Tim added: "The swimming pool industry tends to be very conservative in this country. We think we are different in that we use the latest Italian technology to build beautiful contemporary pools at least cost and we utilise renewable energy where possible."
