ABOUT US
spn is the leading source of up-to-date, high quality information in its sector, providing news and in-depth features for and about the swimming pool, spa and sauna and allied industries in the UK.

spn magazine is acknowledged as the essential source of information on new and practical aspects of swimming pools and spas from the professional point of view. Pool owners - commercial and private - and the growing hot tub, spa and sauna industries increasingly rely on spn for its comprehensive, independent reporting and news coverage in every issue.

First published in 1959 under the name Swimming Pool Review, spn magazine has, down the years had a few names… and a few more owners but it has always offered something unique…

It remains the only publication to have stood side by side with the swimming pool and spa industry through its good times and difficult times – in fact for 50 years. (To read more about the history of the magazine, click here.)

Since our April 2010 edition, spn has incorporated Pool &’ÄàSpa Industry, the magazine launched several years ago by the BSPF – a move which means a single official magazine will be able to carry the information the industry wants and needs - ideal for both advertisers and readers alike!

While still retaining full independance, spn will now carry news, views and opinions from the BSPF, SPATA, BISHTA, SPATEX and the PIP committee.

The licensing of Pool &’ÄàSpa Industry raises funds and means that we are the only trade magazine that is re-investing in the industry that it serves.

spn is circulated on a subscription basis and has a powerful reader base among local authority pool managers and operators, independent leisure centre managers, other commercial pool owners, hotels, private pool owners, architects, pool engineers, builders, designers and industry professionals. Its growing circulation now includes all aspects of the developing spa and hot tub industry.

spn covers all aspects of the industry highlighting the key subjects of maintaining water quality with and without the use of chemicals, solar energy alternatives, design and investment in pools and spas, pool repairs, construction, engineering, design and world markets.

Our regular news items and features are crucial in helping pool operators deal with day-to-day issues of rising costs, the pressure to save energy, how to control the indoor pool environment and have the best options in terms of new products and technologies.

The spn editorial team is always interested in hearing about projects, techniques and equipment and case studies.
