The Wet Leisure Industry Survey 2015 Is Now Open
As the Wet Leisure Industry Survey opens for a fifth year, its sponsor, Golden Coast, is encouraging businesses to invest just a few minutes of time to make this the biggest and most representative overview of the industry to date.
The largest study of its kind in the UK, the annual survey in partnership with The British Swimming Pool Federation (BSPF), gathers information on changing tastes, economic factors and business performance: to deliver the essential market intelligence that companies in the industry need to adapt and grow in the year ahead.
Managing Director of Golden Coast, Jamie Adams explained: "Each year, we are pleased to see more and more companies lending their support to this vital survey, thereby improving its results exponentially. Simply put: the more participants we have and the more data we receive, the clearer the picture we all get of the industry – including the latest marketplace trends and real opportunities for growth."
Accessible online, taking part is quick and easy. The concise and straightforward survey consists of multiple-choice questions and simple tick box responses, but also invites respondents to share their views on certain topics – with all answers kept totally anonymous.
The results, which will be revealed in February at SPATEX, will identify trends by examining data against previous years. These findings will help companies to benchmark their performance against the industry as a whole, as well as against firms which match their profile (by region, company size and service offering.)
Golden Coast, the UK’s largest independent distributor of wet leisure products to the trade, is a firm believer in the benefits of creating and sharing such strategic information.
Jamie Adams, Golden Coast’s Managing Director, explained: "The Wet Leisure Industry Survey provides information that is invaluable for identifying trends within the industry. For example, last year’s results revealed a continuation of the year-on-year increase in sauna sales and, tellingly, showed that companies installing saunas were the most likely to report having had an ‘extremely good year’. This is particularly valuable information – especially for those firms who are thinking about diversifying their services in the near future.
"I would urge all companies to take part in – and subsequently benefit from – the Wet Leisure Industry Survey so they can be equally prepared for the challenges and opportunities which await us in 2016."
