Piscina & Wellness Barcelona Creates More Spaces For Innovation, Knowledge And Business
At the forthcoming Piscina & Wellness Barcelona show this year there will be more activities, experiential spaces and meetings to encourage the exchange of ideas and knowledge between companies and trade professionals, as well as getting insight into the innovations and trends that are galvanising the sector. To complement the trade fair area, the show will also include new demonstration areas; a zone for showcasing new products and the use of the latest technologies in the sector; a fully operational Wellness Centre; conferences, seminars and workshops; and business meetings with international buyers, as well as other activities.
From 17 to 20 October, Piscina & Wellness Barcelona will be an international benchmark as a hub of knowledge, innovation and business in relation to swimming pools and wellness facilities. The Gran Via exhibition centre will play host to the offerings of some 310 exhibitors from 25 different countries, as well as promoting various initiatives which will run as side events to the show, offering opportunities for growth and helping to increase sales in the sector.
The Innovation Zone in Hall 2 will be exhibiting a selection of the best new products presented by exhibitors at this year's event, including the winners of the awards organised by the show. It will also showcase the latest technological applications in the sector of residential and public swimming pools and wellness facilities.
A Speaker's Corner will be set up where exhibitors can give talks on their new products, practical case studies and the use of some of the solutions on display at the show. There will also be a programme of presentations and round tables to address issues relating to improving energy efficiency, safety, and pool renovation and maintenance.
The Demo Pool, a swimming pool set up in Hall 2, will host technical demonstrations of current products by experts from the exhibiting companies. It will also host aquatic fitness sessions such as aqua-gym and exercises on paddle boards. In the same area, visitors can view the exhibition on the different construction systems of prefabricated swimming pools.
Other attractions include an exhibition of architectural projects for aquatic facilities in collaboration with the International Association for Sports and Leisure Facilities (IAKS), plus the winning projects and installations of the Piscina & Wellness Awards 2017.
As in 2015, alongside the trade fair area dedicated to wellness in Hall 1, the show will be building a complete wellness centre where visitors can get first-hand knowledge of the equipment and services required to make this type of facility both functional and profitable. This showroom is double the size of the previous edition and will include various areas – reception, waiting area, changing rooms, bathrooms, treatment cubicles, fitness room, water zone, an active swimming pool, spa, etc. – all fitted out with the latest products on the market provided by exhibitors at the event. For the first time, the technical area, equipped with the state-of-the-art products of a cutting-edge facility, will be on full view so that experts, installers and visitors can see how the different pumping or water treatment systems work.
Expert consultants will be on hand to deal with any questions about business approaches and managing wellness projects. In addition, this space will host the Wellness Spa Experience seminars for trade professionals, featuring more than 30 expert speakers.
Piscina & Wellness Barcelona will also be hosting various conferences and seminars, notably the III Aquatic Leisure Symposium, which will address safety regulations and the efficient and sustainable management of recreational facilities in water parks, hotels and campsites, as well as the new trends in aquatic-related leisure and the importance of the customer experience.
