Wet Leisure Industry 2017: Providing An Essential Industry Snapshot
Managing a wet leisure industry business can feel like a lonely task, but, according to its sponsor Golden Coast, the State of the Wet Leisure Industry Survey is bringing the industry together.
As the survey opens for its seventh year, Jamie Adams, Golden Coast's Managing Director is urging companies to invest just a few minutes, so that everyone can benefit the facts, figures and statistics that help to make better decisions and to, ultimately, grow better businesses.
The survey, which is available to complete now at wetleisure.com, is the largest study of its kind in the UK and is conducted in partnership with The British Swimming Pool Federation (BSPF).
It gathers information, anonymously, on changing tastes, economic factors and business performance to equip the industry with the essential market intelligence necessary to adapt and grow in the year ahead.
According to Chris Hayes, Managing Director of the BSPF: “The annual Wet Leisure Survey is an excellent initiative for our industry to get a snap shot of what business owners are experiencing and to identify any trends that may be happening.
“The BSPF supports this survey to better understand how companies are thinking and feeling about the industry and to know how best to support and reflect the views contained within the survey when lobbying at home and abroad.”
Results for this year’s survey will be officially revealed at SPATEX and can be obtained by visitors to Golden Coast’s stand (B18 and B32). These crucial industry insights will also be published on wetleisure.com, the survey’s home. Importantly, web visitors can access results of the survey since it began in 2011.
“Seven years on and the survey is bigger than ever,” said Jamie Adams. “We are pleased to see more and more individuals and companies getting involved. This improves the results exponentially – providing us with a more accurate and useful picture of our industry’s performance.
“When it comes to understanding exactly what is going on in our sector, it’s those working in the field who are the best place to show us what is happening.
“Because we want this to be as true a reflection as possible of the state of our industry, all responses are kept anonymous – ensuring that those taking part can be as honest and open as possible.
“Answering the 19 questions takes just a few minutes. It’s your chance to have your say, while helping the whole of the industry access the information we all need to make the best business decisions and ensure our future success. “
