World Leisure Wins Rhyl Water Park Contract
World Leisure (UK) Ltd has been appointed by international construction services company, ISG, to install the structural pool and finishes, water hydraulics and filtration at the new £14.8m water park in Rhyl.

The water park at Rhyl is being developed by the Council’s development partner Alliance Leisure and will open in 2019. The attraction will include indoor and outdoor flume rides, children’s water play frame, slides, splash pads and lounger areas. The highly anticipated all-year-round destination will also boast dry facilities including an activity zone and party rooms.

Julia Goddard, Senior Business Development Manager for Alliance Leisure, said: "The development in Rhyl will completely transform the town’s leisure provision, creating a stand-out attraction which will draw an estimated 35,000 extra visitors to the area each year. Creating sustainable leisure facilities which inspire community engagement is always our ambition and this latest development project will certainly achieve this."

The scheme forms part of the wider seafront development in the town and the centre will ultimately be run by Denbighshire County Council once completed in early 2019.

The water park is expected to attract an extra 350,000 visitors to the town.

World Leisure Managing Director, Simon Smith said: "We are very proud to be involved in this project, which is set to become an iconic feature for Rhyl, drawing in tourists and boosting the local economy with a really strong water play offer."
