Starlight Foundation benefits from Artesian Spa gift
Artesian’s spa profile with customers has recently been raised through its connections with the Starlight Children’s foundation which grants wishes of a lifetime to children fighting serious and terminal illnesses.
A young girl named Emily was diagnosed with a brain tumour in 2009 – Emily is now 13 years old.
Emily’s mother says: "Emily was such an able and talented 12 year old, excellent sports girl, her first love was sport. At the end of the Easter term she collapsed at home, it turned out she had a malignant brain tumour the size of an orange. She underwent emergency surgery which lasted 10 hours and sadly suffered brain damage as a result of the surgery; she couldn’t speak, walk, eat or even sit up for nearly 4 months. Emily is now on the road to recovery but is a very slow one indeed."
Rob Stirland, Managing Director of Artesian Spas UK Ltd of Doncaster came to the rescue and supplied a Southseas 726L for Emily.
Dave Edwards, Business Development Manager for Artesian Spas presented Emily’s family with the hot tub and said: "It’s a great pleasure that Artesian Spas and Starlight could make this wish come true for Emily. She will have quality time with her friends and family and experience the ultimate with her Southseas Spa."
