LATEST NEWS
At The Cole-face Of Innovation
Gaffey Technical Services continue to be one of the leaders in pool water disinfection. ART (Adaptive Response Technology) is their latest technology, built-in to Hyprolyser® iSEC® electrochlorination systems. Here, Maxwell Cole, Product Designer explains more.
What was the inspiration behind ART?
It was the challenge of taking an already reliable, user-friendly system and seeing if we could take it to the next level. We wanted to adapt the output of the system to cope with the extremes and fluctuations of environmental and site conditions, without compromising on quality.
Once you had the idea, where did you start?
We started by building a 3D computer model to consider every aspect of the system; control, connectivity and CIP for cleaning, inspection and replacement. We then built prototypes and field tested them for two years.
What processes do you go through in development?
We make sure we have an in-depth knowledge of site conditions, applications and the market itself. Listening to client and service partner feedback is also vital. A thorough understanding of industry regulations helps us standardise our products across the range.
Did you have any challenges?
Bringing prototypes through into manufacture to be fully tested and certified is always a challenge. It involves all the factory build instructions and BOMs so we can source the quality components our products demand.
How do you feel seeing ART in the market?
It’s great seeing our skilled teams bring the systems to life, and our clients and distributors happy too. We’ve got so much to look forward to with a list of new products already in development.
