Compass Pools by Waterstream is set to launch its highly anticipated Swimming Pool Trends Report in February 2026, offering an exclusive look at how UK homeowners are reimagining their outdoor spaces.

Drawing on a survey conducted by OnePoll of 2,000 participants, the report delivers exclusive insights into the landscape of pool ownership, design and wellbeing, reflecting a shift in the nation’s lifestyle priorities.

2025 brought the UK more than 1,622 hours of sunshine, making it the sunniest year since records began. This unprecedented weather has sparked a surge in outdoor living and shifted aspirations amongst homeowners. Compass Pools reports that more than a quarter of UK homeowners see a pool as the ultimate home upgrade, surpassing even cinemas and gyms. The Swimming Pool Trends Report explores how this shift is influencing pool installations and the desire for wellness features and innovative outdoor concepts that enhance lifestyles.

The research also reveals how homeowners are making the most of the sun, with a detailed analysis of the latest data to uncover the priorities shaping British homes and gardens and predict the key trends that will define 2026.
